This is a time where the seeds that one has planted in the winter will start to show their shoots. It is a precious time and creation, as always, requires continual nurturing and sustenance. These sprouts are a reminder that sometimes that which is not seen in the darkest of times and nights is still growing beneath the surface and we will see the sprouts and manifestations come to pass in divine timing. For all creation, is from a single spark of energy put forth into the universe and through continual dedication, this spark forms a fire, this fire is the “Fires of Life or Life Fires” and those fires will fuel one's creations. This is an appropriate parallel, as Aries is not only the first sign of the zodiac and is the fire sign, cardinal fire. It is the Beginner, the Starter, the Initiator and the Initiated. For we are both in life, life happens through us and WHERE we add our SPARK of LIFE WILL ALWAYS GROW.
What is it that we choose to grow this New Astrological Year? I urge us to write down our unique gifts of life, our dreams, plans for the year, actions that will be taken, in dedication, growth, manifestation, in the connection of like-minded friends, family, community that we will reached out to and establish a support system and a grid of light shall continue to be formed. Where would you like to be at the next Spring Equinox? What do you see in your most divinely connected state of being? What kind of life is calling you? All these things are so important. Let us think Big, Much Much Bigger than we are used to, the World is growing beyond what it once was. New states of consciousness are available to us that have not been tapped for a very very long time.
The New Moon in Aries follows the Sun moving into Aries, occurring on March 21st at 10:23 am PST. This new moon will be at 0 degrees Aries, it enforces and protects new beginnings, births, plans and actions that are taken and established especially in this time period. It infuses these new pathways not only for this New Moon for the whole Astrological New Year but as well until March 21st, 2024. Therefore take heed and know what direction, vision, vibration and actions we are sparking and growing in life.
As many of us know our Beloved Earth and Humanity has been shifting for quite some time, shifting ages and in consciousness; this is clearly seen in the world around us. It is at its last notches or gears in one cycle of the great clock of this system of worlds. Not only are we ending of the Zodiacal year, the Sun and Moon in Pisces exiting, moving into Aries, but in the Gatekeeper of our Solar System also known as the Lord of the Underworld and the Great Transformer, Pluto is exiting the sign of Capricorn and entering the Sign of Aquarius on Thursday March 23rd at 5:13am PST. This significance is massive, though its effects may not be clear in these first moments or even year(s), the change is happening and much is being transformed under the surface and its full transformation is yet to be seen in the manifest world as of yet. Just as during winter when the light is at its least, the cold howls and darkness seems like it will never end, the tides have been turning beneath the surface and light growing behind the scenes, increment by increment and before you know it’s here in full form. Bright as the Sun in the morning sky, we are greeted with the truth of being and source of life. It does not mean there will not be new initiations and new challenges, although it does mean there is being established a new slate and new state of consciousness that one can choose in how they will move through and process this change of frequency and establishment of new energy.
This is a visual I leave with us, the Golden Sun is rising in the East, its glowing indestructible light…this is after a dark night of humanity has begin to pass away. Do not allow any unseemly reflections of the outer world sway the christ-consciousness center and illumination, let us stay clear and rooted within the divine higher consciousness as far as possible. If we wander astray from the path or have obstructions in the path, just keep coming back to center and adjusting as needed, no over thinking, over complicating, just coming back to the sacred space of peace and creation within. The divine manifestations will come, the greater vision will manifest and light will continue to grow through conscious focus, direction of will and divine love & truth. When earthly life force is in integrity with divine life and light, it is not a question of the manifestation, it is an absolute. It becomes the law in which one's manifestation follows, but integrity must be established therein, with no division of will or unbalanced or unhealthy emotion.
Therefore in addition to writing out one's plans and actions for the New Moon & New Astrological Year perhaps one would like to do a short meditation. Light a white or yellow candle to symbolize the solar light expanding, growing and nourishing all life in all ways that are important. Call on our Beloved I AM Presence of Life, Source Energy, God/Goddess, Archangels, Angels, Ascended Masters, Guardians, Ancestors & Celestial Friends of Light to walk with us every day and moment through this new year, assist in illumination of our consciousness and greater understanding of what is most important to us at this time in life and the actions in which would serve the highest good of life for us individually and for the collective as a whole. For as always…we are connected whether we know it or not, what one does affects the other, no matter the time and space, all is one. Remember to write down insights, illuminations, guidance and actions to take. Give thanks and move forward into the New Year, in rebirth, grace, guided light of the higher consciousness and truth. Each step forward matters, even seeming small, keep going.
Many Blessings in this New Astrological & Natural Year Cycle! Welcoming Grace, Wisdom, Understanding, Truth, Love, Peace and much more beautifulness in this Vernal Equinox, New Moon in Aries, Saturn into Pisces and Pluto shifting into Aquarius.
Much Love,
Victoria 🌹
]]>We are on the rise to the Full Moon in Cancer at 3:07 p.m. PST on Friday, January 6!
Cancer is a Cardinal Water sign whose planetary ruler is the Moon. In this sense the lunar and watery frequencies are doubled during this time. Some of Cancer's attributes are: intuitive, caring, motherly energies, nurturing, sensitive and home & family-oriented.
The Sun is reflecting its light upon the Moon through the sign of Capricorn, which is a Cardinal Earth sign whose planetary ruler is Saturn. A few of Capricorn’s characteristics are: discipline, structure, determination, accomplishing, persevering, fatherly energies and career/goal oriented.
This Full Moon will affect all signs in a way that emotions are amplified and deepened. One may feel sensitive in ways that they haven’t felt in awhile, or have feelings come up that they thought they'd never feel again. The Lunar nature and intuition can be tapped into more profoundly while the moon is in natural home sign. Also there is a special attention to the home being in order, cleaning, organizing and creating a cozy comfortable space of living is important.
Water and Fire signs may feel this Full Moon a bit more intensely and interestingly enough it could be on the more comfortable side for the water signs if they are in a place of positive focus on their feelings. Fire signs can sometimes feel uncomfortable in the watery emotions of Cancer, although it would be a good time for fire signs to explore emotions that do come up and nurture oneself through a physical outlet, such as: exercise, swimming, dance or another activity that allows for creative expression of one's feelings deepening. Air signs may enjoy this lunar and watery influence as it can expand the air signs mind and allow their consciousness to feel as if it is lifting off and floating in the ethers (just remember to come back down and ground). Earth signs may feel a depth in their feelings and a desire to feel solid and cozy in their home space. One note with the Earth signs is not to get too focused on one emotion should it start to feel very heavy, as one could begin to feel “stuck in the mud”. Move on to a new inspiring thought, action, situation or project that is of one's greater good.
As always with each full moon remember to take a breath, allow and process feelings as they come up, write and breathe through them, release gracefully what doesn't serve one's highest good. Rather than focusing on the friction of opposites, may we focus on the exchange and balance between Capricorn and Cancer to bring support in work and home, masculine and feminine, the outer world and the inner world, structure and fluidity, explore the integrated space between these two opposites. How can they both support in a positive creative way?
Perhaps this is the gift; the allowance of support in the home and work, even though we can’t always see exactly how it will always work out. Let us remember that the present moment is the most important moment. That all life stems from the present moment, therefore taking a breath in the midst of the whirlwinds, changes, shifts and finding balance and one's center is so important. The space between cause and effect, between action and reaction can be one's sacred space that one may recollect, feel and discern before moving forward and making the next decision or having a conversation. This sacred space is always important but during the Full Moon it is especially important.
This Full Moon I invite you to create sacred space and/or altar space where a short reflection and gratitude meditation can be performed. Sacred space ultimately is created within oneself, although tools that can be helpful to adorn and emphasize aspects of one's space. These items/tools can be found in nature, perhaps are already at home or if you are looking for examples of tools that may be helpful see below.
As always, I am wishing you an amazing full moon and many blessings flowing forward in each moment. Remember to write out your feelings, findings and inspirations as this is helpful for processing's and reflecting at later times.
Moonlight Blessings,
Victoria
]]>Hello Dear Ones! The New Moon in Sagittarius apexes on today, November 23rd at 2:57 pm PST. Sagittarius is the 9th Sign of the Zodiac, it is mutable fire, ruled by the planet Jupiter and known as the Archer. Some of the positive qualities of Sagittarius are optimistic, charming, adventurous, “the life of the party”, free spirited, generous, truthful, passionate, independent, free-thinking, philosophical and outspoken. Some of the negative qualities can be impatient, restless, over-confident, forgetful, blunt, hot headed, inconsistent, illusionary and overindulgent.
This new moon will bring a burst of enthusiasm to all signs of the Zodiac, although fire signs (Aries, Leo & Sag) and air signs (Gemini, Libra & Aquarius) may feel a stronger igniting of this energy. This can come through in a multitude of ways; the personality, adventures, travel, projects, discussions and more. Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces) and earth signs (Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn) will feel the fiery push to move forward as well. Although there may be some hesitancy because it is not their first nature to blast forward into projects and ventures. Even so this enthusiastic burst can be utilized by earth and water signs to propel one forward in positive progress that one can be proud of when looking back.
In addition, Sag season is a great time to learn something new! Sagittarius loves to learn about new ideas, subjects, projects, ventures and more. There is no limit to how much one can learn and grow; for anyone that has Sag placements - You know this! It is usually a “labor of love” to devour new knowledge and wisdom.
The Sagittarius New moon is a superb time to foster the positive qualities and put them to good use in our lives and release the limiting qualities that have held us back. It occurs at 1 degree Sagittarius therefore it will be in the pure Sag style that this new moon brings energy in through. Remember we will be passing through the balsamic or dark phase of the moon in Scorpio prior to the new moon. What is at the core of Our passions? What is the broader vision of where we want to go & be in life? These are just a few great questions to ask, feel free to add more to your thoughts! This is a great time to bring more optimism in one's life. Perhaps in a new moon intention setting ceremony write down a couple areas that one would like to nourish with optimistic and expansive qualities of Sagittarius. Of course the counter aspects are important as well~write down a couple unhealthy Sag. qualities that would be good for releasing gracefully. As always one may use sage or frankincense & myrrh
light a simple white or blue (think blue fire) candle or a specific new moon candle to aid you in your intention setting
An altar cloth with the coloring of the fiery element may be enjoyable A small incense bowl with charcoal along with your favorite resin or a mini lantern; the heat and flame are good representations of the symbol of fire.
Gather together two pieces of parchment paper or regular paper in which you may write out your releases and intentions for this cycle. Thinking about the qualities of Sagittarius that we spoke of earlier. What would be beneficial to release harmoniously? What would be excellent to expand and bring a lighthearted spark to? Remember to call in your Guides, Angels, Ancestors and Guardians of Light, Source Energy clear your space before and after your intention setting meditation. Write out your releases on one of your pieces of paper, imagine yourself breathing that energy, thoughts, feelings and patterns that you are letting go of with grace and ease, pour into the paper. When you are finished take the paper outside in a fire safe container: such as a metal cauldron or abalone shell, burn with sage or palo santo if it’s a safe environment to do so. Otherwise, you can always take the paper outside and tear up paper releasing the energy & throw in trash that is outside of your home place. In both instances imagining all those traits being released gracefully and transformed into positive energy and empowerment by the light of your Higher Presence. When you finish, if transformed by fire you may mix or bury the ashes in the dirt as they are returned to earth. Then continue to write out your intentions that you are holding space for the New Moon in Sagittarius. Write them out as they have come into your life in a win/win way beneficial to all, keep these intentions in a safe space or a new moon journal. Remember to take action steps throughout the 28 days; little by little, moving toward your heart intentions and new patterns; holding your vision and feeling in mind each day.
As always when finished give thanks for the gifts already in one's life and for the new to come through wisdom, ease and harmony. Thank your Guardians & Ancestors of Light, Angels, Ascended Masters & Source Energy for their assistance and support.
Here’s to an exciting, adventurous, innovative New Moon in Sagittarius!! Many Blessings to us all!

]]>Libra’s can be highly analytical, sensitive, graceful, charismatic, enjoy problem solving, are kind and even tempered, strive for balance, justice, fairness, and beauty. They enjoy decorating, perfecting things to be aesthetically pleasing and usually are good at event planning. Some of the shadow qualities of Libra are over-indulgence, over-thinking, overspending, laziness, indecisiveness and flirtatiousness.
When the Sun is in Libra it is a fantastic time to focus on nurturing oneself, setting new patterns that beautify one's body, mind and everyday pursuits. A couple activities that you may find enjoyable may be to take a sea salt bath take a calming yoga or meditation class
a creative movement class or even a nature walk. These particular activities assist in getting us in touch with the state of being our body is in, what it's saying & calling us to listen to and how we can take action gracefully to work with it rather than against it.
Especially for a Libra Sun, Moon or Rising another aspect of self care is relaxing the mind and constant analysis (that is usually going on in a Libra's head even if they don’t admit it). This is where spa treatment, massage or weekend getaway may be in order. Also organizing and beautifying one's home, workspace or life in general is an amazing tool that almost magically reflects in the mood and atmosphere; making for a happier, more fruitful place to spend time. Ask yourself what can I beautify, that afterward I will feel soooooo much better? What exercise or activity can I do (that gets my heart rate up), that afterward I am going to feel more in tune with my body!!! What goal planning or task list that I can write up, to get the over-analysis out of my head; thus allowing for relaxation afterward.
Taking the first small step forward is key during this time. Each step leads a little further down the pathway and soon you will see that satisfying progress that you so desire. But it doesn't happen on its own! So book that self-care treatment you’ve been thinking about, take the walk in nature, do the artwork to open your creative side, call the person and make the connection, accept the invite to the event and enroll in the class that gives you an outlet to expand your beautiful side. Gracefully open the pathway for new patterns that are healthy, beautiful, rejuvenating and balanced.
Archangel Raphael is the Angel that is associated with the air element. Call on Raphael to assist in the earthly and intellectual realm for problem solving, beautifying thoughts and everyday reality on an individual and universal level in areas such as: home, relationships, body-care, beautiful surroundings, reflecting on inner organization of thoughts and clarity or any of the other areas spoken above. Remember to give thanks and write down your insights and action steps that you may receive during your meditation and connection with Archangel Raphael or any of your Guardians of Light.
Happy Libra Season!!

]]>The attributes of Pisces are sensitiveness, creativeness, intuitive, artistic, emotional, kind, changeable, dreamy. While the characteristics associated with Virgo are intellectual, critical, detailed, planners, grounding, body health, practical thinkers, healers.
The Sun will be shining through Virgo lighting up Pisces, therefore the areas of sensitivity will focus on intuition, past lives, artwork, creative ventures, vision/foresight, will be illuminated. On the shadow side the areas that could come up for healing are fears, doubt, past trauma, past life karma & patterns, stagnation, immobilization due to limiting beliefs. Calling upon your Guardians of Light to assist you as you move through both the light and shadow in gracefully healing ways is important, write down the insights that come and what you have learned.
During the Full Moon, Pisces will be conjucting Neptune which will amplify dreams, intuition and healing connections. At the same time there is a caution to not fall into illusionary thinking, stay away from pessimistic people, atmospheres, drugs and alcohol as they usually are affected by Neptune in an adverse way.
During the full moon we are releasing what we have been creating in the new and waxing phases of the moon. Therefore, a simple ceremony to give thanks for the creations that have come forth and grown in this cycle then release to God/Goddess, Source energy, whatever name you call the Divine Creator of all Life. Perhaps start with a clearing bath and utilize some bag salts:
You may use a smudge wand for purification of your space:
You may call upon your Guardian Angel, Archangel Michael or Archangel Gabriel to attend you at this time. A simple white candle or full moon candle may be used in this meditation.
A written description of your gratitude and release, place your written parchment paper into a small bonfire or burn in a fire safe container, such a cauldron or abalone shell. Allowing your prayer and gratitude to be released. Remember to give thanks and the close of your meditation/ceremony.
However you choose to partake in the full moon, nurture & enjoy yourself.
Many Blessings,
Victoria 🌹
]]>The New Moon in Leo will occur on July 28, 2022 at 10:55 am PST. At this time Leo energies will bring a surge of brightness to ones soul calling, a drive for renewal in ones heart's desires and the courageousness to be the leader of ones own life. The Leo New Moon is dynamic full of life and spunk! If you declare it Leo will intensify its Light & Power on the seeds you plant; giving them an infusion of confidence, fortitude, passion and creativity in finding pathways that fulfill oneself on a deeper level. Artistic and unique inspirations or endeavors may be more fruitful and delicious at this time. This may also be a time for New Love, or a Renewal of Warmth in a Present Relationship, or a Deeper Union with Ones Higher Presence. Some may feel call to connect with ones "Inner Child" or children in general. Perhaps taking up a new hobby or talent will be pleasantly surprising at this time.
Fire & Air signs will definitely feel the fire ignited beneath them. It is akin to adding fuel to the furnace, compelling their manifestations forward into fantastic accomplishments, as long as they can focus and direct their Will Power. This Solar Ray encourages bringing projects to their penacle point and place of potency. Inspiration may be at an all time high! Water & Earth signs may feel a push out of their normal comfort zone or nest, this can be a good thing for these receptive signs as Leo energy assists in adding an extra infusion of confidence, passion, creativity and individuality. Standing in one's Power and Shining may come a little easier during Leo season (if one is not fighting against the current).
During the Leo New Moon you may want to do simple Intention Setting Ceremony. You may start by clearing your space with some Sage
or Frankincense & Myrrh calling on your Guardians of Light, Angels
to protect and guide you as you set your intentions for the Leo Season.
Next you may light simple yellow or white candle or a specific Leo candle . You may also gather crystals that add to the Leo attributes such as: Tiger eye, Citrine, Goldstone, Sunstone, Garnet, Red Jasper, Goldsheen Obsidian, Yellow Calcite.
A couple colors that are associated with Leo are orange, yellow and white. Therefore you may find an altar cloth of your desire that you may utilize to compliment your other tools.
Next set your intentions for this Leo Cycle, along with the Leo attributes that are empowering to you. Make sure to write these out as you are grateful for and sincerely feeling the essence you are calling in and becoming. Some of you may have a New Moon Journal even if you don't a simple pad or notebook will suffice.
As always when finished thank your Guides of Light, Angels, Source Energy for their assistance and support. Remember to take action steps throughout the 28 days; little by little, moving toward your intentions and goals, holding your vision and feeling in mind. It may require research, engaging & connecting with others, but most of all Shining Your True Self (because that's the Truest way to attract what you love).
Wishing you an amazing Leo New Moon and Season! This is the time for you to get out your paint brush (literally and/or metaphorically) and paint until your hearts content; the "Design of Your Life" no one elses.
Bright Leo Blessings!

Mercury Retrograde starts May 29th and ends on June 22nd in the ruling sign of Gemini. Although everyone will be affected by this retrograde, astrologers believe that Sagittarius, Aries, Leo, and Virgos will be the signs most affected. Here are some tips and tricks to help keep you in alignment with yourself.
Right now you may feel pulled to make decisions that are outside of your character. This is the time to take a step back and thoroughly think about your actions. Follow your intuition, but remember to ground yourself. Also, since current ruling sign is in Gemini, be clear in your communication.
You've probably heard of the saying, “ Say what you mean and mean what you say.” Setting intentions and seeing them through will help give you control when life feels chaotic. This, along with being mindful, is essential for a tranquil mind.
Now would be a great time to take part in meditation. Any activity in which you allow your thoughts to flow will be beneficial. Take the time to sit and envision yourself being protected by an indigo orb. The color Indigo is associated with spiritual awareness and psychic protection.

Mercury Retrograde is not a time to fear, but a time to embrace the present. Reclaim your space! Reclaim your time! Reclaim your power!
]]>Upon us now is Capricorn season, the time between December 21 and January 21. (Valentine’s Day is nigh, get this Capricorn Perfume and Valentines Day Card Set)
If I were to throw together an acrostic poem about Capricorns it would be:
The sign Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn.
It’s namesake is the constellation Capricornus, “the sea goat,” which is a reference to the Sumerian God Enki who ruled over intelligence, creation, crafts, magic and all kinds of water.
His name's meaning is uncertain but a common translation is “Lord of the Earth” or “Lord of This Mound.”
And this corresponds to the Capricorn’s “King Of The Hill” mentality about using ambition to receive material rewards or fame.
(Keep your beloved prized possessions this Capricorn Clutch.)
Another account suggests his name means “Spring Of Life” or “House Of Water.” This may remind us of a Capricorn’s steady, nurturing and intentful nature.
(Guard against workaholism by putting onyx and garnet in your Capricorn clutch. Onyx supports a Capricorn’s great inner strength. Garnet is grounding and connects one to the source of all life, it will decrease feelings of being burnt out and make you proud of your work while keeping your pride in check -- which is important for taking collective action or working vigorously toward the collective good).
His main temple is said to be the first temple built in southern Iraq, with a name meaning “House Of Subterranean Waters,” in a marshy region where the land and water meet to sustain life.
In front of the temple, there was once some sort of reflecting pool that the faithful threw carp bones to the bottom of after collective feasts where (presumably) all the celebrants were fed until full.
The God Enki’s origin story is as follows: His grandfather, the god Abzu was a despot ruler who was inert and was easily disturbed by the lofty aspirations of the younger gods, so Abzu sought to assassinate them. Enki, elected to represent the younger gods, cast a spell on Abzu which forced him into a deep sleep and imprisoned him deep underground. Enki then assumed responsibility for all of the functions of Abzu, including his fertilising powers as lord of the waterS
It is possible for Capricorns to become pessimistic if they feel alone in their struggle. Have faith in your own competence. Have faith that you are doing enough to develop as a person and help the people you care about. Light this Capricorn Pillar Candle to be reminded of the potency of your own essence.
It is also possible for a Capricorn to be emotionally distant or heavily guarded. Jet is the answer, to compartmentalize your anxieties into something metaphysical, and to center your reserved and protective nature and make it productive instead of a cause for inhibition.
Another deity associated with the sign Capricorn is Cronus or Saturn, who is noted for overthrowing his royal father and who was overthrown just the same by Zeus (who was brought up by a goat nymph, and which Zeus later placed in the stars as the constellation Capricornus).
So the story of Capricorns and the symbolism it contains is that of a level-headed leader finding fame by providing sustenance and freedom to their peers.
To bring out these things in yourself, whether or not you have Capricorn in your chart, carry smoky quartz which is grounding. This grounding stone in particular helps people keep their mind organized and awakens a need to protect others. Because smoke is shamanically used to cleanse, it is also typically used to turn negative vibrations into positive, which is important for staying motivated, maintaining perspective and following through in healing yourself in other ways.
Throughout mythos, there are Capricorns that you ought to look to for inspiration in order to align your goals with your deep intrinsic knowledge of truth with how you can use your natural gifts to raise the consciousness of the world during a turbulent time, in an age that has historically been predicated by upheavals and revolutions.
With that being said, rose quartz might be useful to maintain inner calm, to support being practical and to meditate on your personal values and how they pertain to family, those you care about and the rest of the universe.
The year 2021 has just started and we already find ourselves needing Capricorns.
Sure there are weaknesses with any sign, and a Sagittarius Sun may experience being too correct or honest at times; at times a Sagittarian may be prone to having too much of a can-do attitude, or to living in the moment too much.
This is because the noble and kingly sign of Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which gives Sagittarians luck, positivity, confidence, aptitude for higher learning; and this can make undeveloped Sagittarians too idealistic or detached from reality.
The simple solution for this is grounding and an openness to other kinds of insight.
Excellent stones for grounding include hematite, smoky quartz and jasper. This will decrease a Sagittarian’s lowkey nervousness or downplayed jealousy.
A Sagittarius needs tact and support for their goal of spiritual enlightenment.
Rose quartz is known as the stone of the heart. It is often used for calming and healing emotions, dispelling negativity and promoting peace. Sagittarians experience periodic bursts of energy and often ponder many complex ideas throughout the day and night, and have a propensity for insomnia. Rose quartz may also be used to promote sleep and alleviate other ills associated with Anahata imbalances.
Another heart chakra option is green tourmaline for emotional stability; or green aventurine, which brings focus, vitality and soothes emotions.
One of the most luxurious stones for spiritual enlightenment is lapis lazuli, which was used by ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians and Sumerians to adorn spiritual objects. It is the actual fifth stone on the breastplate of the original priests of the Israelites.
Because the color blue occurs so rarely in nature, making it very expensive for the ancients, it is associated with royalty.
Lapis lazuli is a powerful crystal for activating the higher mind and enhancing intellectual ability. It stimulates the desire for knowledge, truth and understanding, and aids the process of learning. It is excellent for enhancing memory.
A stone connected to the planet Jupiter is Amethyst, the planet, the Sagittarius sign and stone are associated with the crown chakra. It is the stone of meditation which reveals a Sagittarian’s spiritual and philosophical nature.
A stone most associated with the Sagittarius sign is turquoise (also a royal rock), which speaks to the signs' truthful and communicative nature. It is best used for psychic healing and calming, but is about as versatile as clear quartz and can help strengthen any sort of intention.
Since Sagittarians are travelers by nature, buy them something that could ease their travels. Very few people have luggage sets these days and it is a TRAGEDY.
Buy a Sagittarius a suitcase as a sign of hopefulness for the future, that someday COVID-19 will end and we can resume taking cheap flights based on tarot card pulls.
A Sagittarius in your life may be going back to school. Get them something practical such as a pencil pouch with a lot of pockets, or a binder with a lot of pockets or a satchel with a lot of pockets. Some are very poor planners if they don’t have discipline and rely on what’s in their pockets.
If you are shopping for a Sagittarius, and if you don’t know them very well, do not deviate from this list of aforementioned items and get a gift card to a store they don’t like or something that might harsh their vibe.
Sagittarians are hard to shop for because they involve their ideals and their latest musings into their lifestyles and appearances. Of course they will be gracious and say thank you, but they might not value it as much as you paid for it, and they may declutter it to a thrift store the very next chance they get.
You could never go wrong with gifting Jupiter-ruled people Amethyst.
If someone is an extreme Sagittarius, all they will want for their birthday is the right mixture of space and quality time, because Sagittarians are naturally lucky, confident and content and may prefer to attract what they really want; or they may be minimalistic because it is easy to be a wanderer with fewer earthly possessions.
Make sure to encourage Sagittarians and all people to be their authentic selves because we have wasted too much time disconnected and living in a matrix of illusion to continue maintaining the status quo of a conservative and therefore oppressive world.
]]>Happy Native American Heritage Month. It’s a bit out of season, but I would like to take this time to talk to you about our savior, the archetype of the Goddess of Abundance.
White Buffalo woman may come to mind first in the Northern Hemisphere. Predictably, Amazon’s White Buffalo Calf Woman products are sparse.
This is because White Buffalo Calf Woman is a deity of the Lakota tribe, which is one of the poorest tribes in America. Nearly a third of all American Indian and Alaska Native children live in poverty. Of the top 100 poorest counties in the US, four of the Top 5 and ten of the Top 20 are on indian reservations.
The legend of White Buffalo Calf Woman is as follows: Many generations ago, there was a great famine. There were two hunters who ventured out into the wilderness to find food and came upon the vision of a white cloudo in the distance. As they approached yet closer, they saw that in the midst of the cloud was a woman cloaked in a white buffalo buckskin.
The lustful hunter wanted her for a wife. The pious hunter observed that the woman in the cloud appeared sacred and warned his companion that forcing himself on her would be an act of sacrilege. The lustful hunter ignored him and embraced the woman.
The cloud enveloped them both and rose into the air. When the cloud descended, only the woman remained. The pious hunter drew an arrow by the woman, who had dark features, spoke in the language of the Lakota people and beckoned forward, telling him that no harm would come to him, as she could see into his heart and he did not have the motives the first man had.
She added that if he did as she instructed, his people would rise again. She asked that he return to the others so that they could prepare a feast in anticipation of her arrival.
When she did arrive, She taught the Lakota seven sacred ceremonies to protect the Mother Earth and gave them the čhaŋnúŋpa, the sacred ceremonial pipe.
The seven ceremonies are Inípi (purification lodge), Haŋbléčheyapi (crying for vision), Wiwáŋyaŋg Wačhípi (Sun Dance), Huŋkalowaŋpi (making of relatives), Išnáthi Awíčhalowaŋpi (female puberty ceremony), Tȟápa Waŋkáyeyapi (throwing of the ball) and Wanáǧi Yuhápi (soul keeping). Each part of the čhaŋnúŋpa (stem, bowl, tobacco, breath, and smoke) is symbolic of the relationships of the natural world, the elements, humans and the spiritual beings that maintain the cycle of the universe.
For you, the reader, who is presumably not Lakota, the message of the story is that First Nations people are natural experts of health and you can join in their closeness to the Earth by being empathetic to their struggle and respecting their way of life.
It is also the job of all spiritual practitioners to heal the Earth, and in turn, the Earth will heal us and provide us with medicine.
Another deity you ought to be educated on is Corn Mother, who is of the South West people. The legend of Corn Mother varies from one chrome to the next. The details of the story that are most important are: That Corn Mother makes a continual sacrifice of her own body in order to feed her children.
Corn Mother shares some similarities with the Goddess Demeter or Ceres, who is also a self-giving mother, who considers the symbol of corn sacred to her, who presides over fertility, who is thought of as “the law-bringer” or as an authority on morality and childbirth.
Occult singer Wendy Rule made a concept album dedicated to the story of her daughter, Persephone.
Ceres is closely associated with a goddess that predates her, which is Terra. Terra is often considered the wife of Uranus. Festivals or rites that once were held in Terra’s honor may have been transferred to Ceres.
One rite that did not transfer was the sacrifice of a pregnant cow.
The sister and wife of Saturn, known as Ops or Rhea, is also a mother goddess of corn. Her name means plenty.
The Wikipedia of this goddess says, “Her children were Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Juno, Ceres, and Vesta. When Saturn learned of a prophecy that stated his and Opis' children would end up overthrowing him as leader, he ate his children one by one after they were born. Opis, being the loving mother that she was, could not just stand by and let all of her children be eaten by her husband. So, instead of feeding Saturn their final child Jupiter, she wrapped a rock in swaddling clothes, and fed that to Saturn instead of Jupiter. Opis then went on to raise Jupiter, and then helped him free his siblings from their father's stomach.”
Another Goddess you should be aware of is Pachamama.
Pachamama fulfills all of the Goddess of Abundance archetype traits. Revered by the people of the Andes, she is the Goddess of Earth and Time (concepts that envelope virtually everything).Symbols that are sacred to her are potatoes and coca.
She has enough creative energy to sustain life on Earth. She rules over agriculture.Like many other Indigenous goddesses, she has been conflated to the image of the Virgin Mary.
Household rituals to honor Pachamama are done year-round. Families perform cleansing rituals by burning plants, wood and other items in order to scare evil spirits, who are thought to be more abundant at this time. People also drink yerba mate, which is thought to give good luck.
Astarte is one name for the chief goddess or female divinity of both Canaanite and Phoenicians.
She is a hellenization of the Goddess Ishtar (Sumarian) or Inanna (Mesopotamian) who rules over love, beauty, reproduction, war, morality and politics. And Ishtar is often conflated with a figure who was once known as her handmaiden, Lilith. And Lilith is linked to Kali in an unclear way.The goddess Inanna/ Ishtar/ Lilith/ Kali is frequently venerated by people who do not fit into the gender binary.
During Sumerian times, a set of priests known as gala worked in Inanna's temples, where they performed elegies and lamentations. Men who became gala sometimes adopted female names and their songs were composed in the Sumerian eme-sal dialect, which, in literary texts, is normally reserved for the speech of female characters. Some Sumerian proverbs seem to suggest that gala had a reputation for engaging in anal sex with men.
Ishtar is associated with Lions and is the queen of the house of heaven, Innana with serpents.Lilith is associated with owls, and is referred to as some kind of lower counterpart to God’s true wife, Shekhina.
In essence, she is the female, softer, forgiving presence of God. She is said to be present while a person studies Torah, whenever ten are gathered for prayer, when three sit as judges, during cases of personal need, the Shekhinah dwells over the headside of the sick man's bed" and wheresoever the Israelites were exiled, the Shekhinah went with them.https://www.amazon.com/Freya-Goddess-Beauty-Fertility-Statue/dp/B001UHM5IW/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=freya+statue&qid=1605404709&sr=8-1
The last goddess in this blog post is Freya, the namesake of the fifth day of the week. In Norse mythology, Freyja is a goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, sex, war, gold and prophesy.
She is associated with the swelling of the sea as well as its giving nature, and the sacrificial rites surrounding pigs. She is pulled by a chariot of cats from the underworld and is known as “Lady of The Slain.”To honor Freya, wear a gold necklace or dress like a Valkyrie.
Wear a fragrance that smells like morning dew.
Connect with your inner goddess by reading goddess-themed tarot cards. Light incense in a goddess incense burner.
Samhain is on November 1st. Wiccans celebrate it on the evening of October 31st because Samhain more-or-less middles the Autumnal Equinox and the Winter Solstice, so Samhain is a time when the veil between this world and the next is “thinner.”
When the veil is thinner, civilizations are more prone to attacks by malevolent or trickster spirits; so it is customary to do some kind of cleansing ritual. Place black tourmaline in your house for protection from physical and spiritual danger.
It is also easier to practice divination. And apophyllite is good for connecting with the other side.
By now most people vaguely are aware that “Allhallowtide,” Halloween and the neo-Pagan holiday Samhain are connected. Some would venture to say that Catholics made All Saints or All Souls Day to persuade the pagans to become Christian; And that trick or treating originates from a Samhain tradition of impersonating fairies who would demand rewards for promising good fortune.
Allhallowtide is actually in the month of May; after the Pope’s endorsement of Allhallowtide in 609 AD, Irish priests independently developed their own traditions and placed All Saints Day on November 1st. From that point onward All Saints Day and Samhain influenced each other for hundreds of years and it is unclear which group introduced traditions such as making altars for deceased loved ones with offerings of food.
Samhain is a time when Wiccans celebrate the end of the harvest season and the beginning of Winter. Halloween isn’t traditionally thought of as an end of harvest holiday because in modernity we are removed from nature’s light cycles, the spirit realm and the concept of death.
You can realign yourself with the path of your ancestors, first and foremost by honoring them. Not only do people mimic fairies and feinds on Samhain, but the dead as well. Try to call forth the best traits your ancestors passed down to you, remind them that their good genes are alive and well in the world and their less desirable traits are dead.
Welcome death as a natural eventuality. Welcome death also as a friend who will come relieve your burden when the day is done. Let this awaken your consciousness and encourage yourself to pursue a life worth living.
Samhain is in the dark half of the year. Going on requires courage in the midst of the unknown and coming to terms with your worst fears. This parallels the concept of making light of or satirizing death in addition to respecting it that Dia De Los Muertos is known for.
Carry sunstone to carry sun energy around with you in the dark half of the year. Ancient celts lit hilltop fires mimicking the sun’s expansive and generous nature to “help the spirits of growth.” Sunstone embodies creativity and motivation. By obtaining sunstone your are making sure you have holiday cheer for the months to come.
]]>Scorpio season is steadily approaching -- October 23 and November 21 is Scorpio season; and Scorpios don’t get a good representation in the public sphere.
Scorpios and Scorpio sympathizers say that people who have problems with the aforementioned sign did something to that person first.
Being a fixed water sign, they are emotional, but like an underwater river (which is made possible due to high salt content at the oceans depths) or a Hell lake on fire ( infernos with flames which emit only darkness, not light), Scorpios are not what they appear to be; and yet, Scorpios are natural detectives for seeing what is beneath the surface.
Because their planets are Pluto as a primary planet and Mars as a secondary planet, and their colors are black and red, they have a primarily brooding private nature punctuated by episodes of tenacious, creative potency or calculated use of anger and drive.
In Greek mythology, the Scorpion is associated with the death of Orion. There are many versions of this tale, but the one connected to Scorpio tells of a boastful hunter Orion, who bragged that he could kill all of the animals in the wild kingdom.
The earth goddess Gaia objected and sent a Scorpion to stop Orion. He confronted, and fought the Scorpion, but died when the great beast stung him in the head. The Scorpion was placed in the heavens as a reward from Gaia for his service, and Zeus placed Orion there as well to commend his valiant fight.
Scorpio is in polarity with the fixed earth sign Taurus. Ruled by Mars, Scorpio likes to confront and conquer, where Taurus, ruled by Venus, likes to connect and keep the peace.
Since the moon is said to be exalted in Taurus, it is in its fall in the opposite sign of Scorpio.
So, it’s hard to be a Scorpio in any placement.
The sign Scorpio corresponds to the phlegmatic temperament. Phlegm in excess degree causes swelling, inflammation or cysts. It is important for Scorpios to remember to not hold onto toxic energies. Scorpios often retain water and negative energy, and need constant flow in order to be in balance.
Because Scorpio is partly ruled by Mars, they can be somewhat athletic.
As such, Scorpios are sexually potent. Because Scorpios are sexually potent and private, their corresponding body parts are the genitals and anus and the corresponding chakra is the Base Chakra.
Scorpios should brew mugwort, which is ruled by Venus, to balance their antipathetic nature.
Enlightened Scorpios are Phoenixes, meaning that Scorpios embody transformation. Buy a Scorpio malachite to accept metamorphosis and to make them more willing to leave the privacy of their lairs.
They can be stubborn or intuitive, a stone that makes ones mind more open and increases ones natural intuition is Lapis Lazuli; or turquoise which would also allow them to be more communicative and align their words with their intentions.
Lastly, as mentioned before, being a Scorpio is trying and tiring; Scorpios are prone to depression or unwittingly self-destructive actions. To prevent the former, aside from seeking therapy, a Scorpio should carry citrine. To prevent the latter, aquamarine is appropriate, which will keep a Scorpio conscientious of themselves and others..
]]>If you want to communicate with those beyond, and if you think ouija boards are for simpletons, (I sleep with one under my pillow)
And if you can’t trust yourself to give honest answers with a pendulum, now Halloween 2020 presents itself as an optimal time for any sort of seance you might conceive. If you are a spiritual person, simply create a ritual to talk to your dead grandmother yourself, but still read this article to discover Benji’s Favorite Things: Halloween Edition.
If you are new to communicating with the great beyond, follow these simple steps to ensure you have a fruitful and safe communication.
Many people are under the misguided belief that you have to have a seance in a haunted place. First of all, every place is haunted. Second of all, not every place is haunted in the way that fits the needs of a seance.
For example, if you rented a room on the Queen Mary.....
And decided to do a seance after, you would get too much interference from the poor souls who must toil on that cursed ship forever; and you probably wouldn’t enjoy that.
To clear the space, you may smudge with sage or palo santo -- but if you’re staying in a place such as the Queen Mary, you probably don’t want to burn anything in your room. So, use Gaia Gems Moon Charged Crystal Lavender Sage Spray so as to not incur fines from smoke damage.
If you’re fancy, you may also want to put black tourmaline in the four corners of the room or of the property.
Next gather some close friends, who are believers, nonbelievers will weaken the collective energy -- perhaps people who have lost loved ones but definitely not people who will have anxiety attacks when they are covered in ectoplasm or hear ephemeral voices; and have your friends cleanse themselves as well. Yes, you can sage your friends, but they might have asthma. You could put a satchel of bay leaves, lemongrass or lavender in their pockets or bras.
Everyone participating in the séance must focus on the same goal. For instance, your purpose may be to contact a deceased relative. This intensifies your energy and increases your chances of success. Think about the purpose of the séance as you wait for it to begin.
If anyone has focusing issues, invest in fluorite.
Your space must be quiet; but sometimes the silence is chilling. To bless the silence, ring a third eye bell. On the same note, put away any loud paintings or artwork and silence your phones.
For added protection against harmful radiation emitted by phones, place shungite in your space.
Dim the lamps and light black and white candles.
Before you start your seance, have questions prepared.
Write them down so you don’t forget. Zen Den has a great selection of journals.
If you know who you want to contact, the questions should be for that person. However, you might also create general questions to ask if you’re just hoping to reach the spirit world.
Lay relevant items such as photos on your table or the floor. Light frankincense incense to protect you from evil spirits and make your atmosphere more welcoming to good spirits.
Try spirit rapping as a basic option for yes-or-no questions. This method of communication asks the spirit to make a noise or give a sign as a response. Ask the spirit to rap once for “yes” or twice for “no.” Rapping works best for yes-or-no questions because they’re easy to answer. Listen carefully for a noise after each question.
You might also ask for the spirit to give signs. For instance, they might vibrate or spill a glass of water. Similarly, you might put 3 candles in front of the medium. Label 1 candle “yes,” 1 candle “no,” and 1 candle “I don’t know.” Ask the spirit to extinguish a candle to answer each question.
Recordings often pick up sounds or images that aren't heard or seen by the people present. Consider setting up a video camera or tape player to record what happens. Later, you can listen to the recording to see if there are special messages or unseen movements. Film or record the séance to pick up more responses.
You might say a prayer or spell for protection before you begin. You could say, “We pray for protection from beings that would do us harm. We ask the Goddess that only good spirits be allowed in our circle tonight,” or “Together we ask the spirits this night, to send us only the blessed and bright, we claim protection for everyone here, and no evil beings can come near.”
To start the sentence, join hands and say, “Tonight we are here to contact the spirit of Greta Darlow,” or “Tonight we gather to seek guidance from the spirit world.”
You might say, “We welcome any good spirits who are near us to join our circle. Please make your presence known,” or “We are reaching out to Ms. Greta Jeane Darlow. Please join us in our circle tonight when you’re ready.”
If nothing happens for several minutes after you recite the opening incantation, say it again. Continue to repeat the incantation every few minutes until something happens.
Anyone can ask the questions, not just the medium; but now one should let go of the hands. No one knows what happens, but it is believed to be unsafe.
A séance can be an emotionally intense experience that elicits a range of different reactions. If someone is crying or upset, it’s best to end the séance or to allow them to leave.
It's always a good idea to give a séance closure, as you would any other type of spiritual service or ritual. End the séance by thanking the spirits for joining your circle. You may want to say a prayer of closure. Thank the sitters for their participation as well, then blow out the candles to formally end the session.
Allow people a few moments to quietly pull themselves out of the spiritual realm and back into the physical, present moment. Then, turn on the lights and adjust to the world of the living. Give yourself a few minutes to process what happened.
Talk about the seance when everyone is ready, and most importantly, have a happy Halloween.
]]>I explained that the 369 Method. It goes like this:
1. Pick 3 affirmations that you want.
2. Say them 6 times each day.
3. Focus on your wants for 9 seconds as a way to just think about what you want to manifest.
It's that easy.
This method was popularized by Nikola Tesla who is quoted saying, "If you want to understand the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration," and believed that electricity could be clean and free.
Often called the Forgotten Wizard of Electricity," Tesla is famous for his contributions toward the alternating current and trying to defy Thomas Edison's predatory patents.
Other methods involve visualization with adjusted perception. This includes imagining you manifestations coming to pass from a third person or aerial view. Not only can you do this while meditating, you can also do this while walking down the boulevard.
If you have a strong imagination, you can intently visualize by imagining how your manifestation will look, smell, taste, touch and sound with strong awareness of realistic details.
In 2020, manifesting is all the rage; and while using pure will power to achieve your dreams seems like a daunting task, many of the most popular crystals at Zen Den are positively perfect for increasing your powers of manifestation.
Rose quartz can be used to manifest love. Wear it on a necklace or bracelet to attract a partner. Put it in the living room or the home entrance to promote peace in the household.
If you are trying to manifest prosperity and healing, Citrine is your answer. Wear it or place it with your money for maximum effect.
Normally we can walk around San Pedro and collect lucky pennies. Unfortunately, we're supposed to be social distancing. We cannot be around the hustle and bustle of the big city or feel the energy boom below our feet. Fortunately Zen Den carries lucky pennies available in-person only. Stop by today to get a lucky penny!
Once you have a lucky penny, put it in a jar with citrine and fill it with water. You can dress it with Irish moss.
Seal the jar and burn a green candle on top. A lot of people do not light candles with intent and ignore their spell as they are casting it. Meditate visualize your wealth coming to you.
On the night of the Full Moon, bury the jar in the earth at a place it won’t be disturbed. On the dirt above it, draw a pentagram with the top point to the west.
This spell can work with other crystals as well. For example, you could use Clear Quartz to find difficult answers, Amethyst for balance, Obsidian to manifest calmness and strength, Carnelian to manifest eloquence and boldness.

Lighting Fall-colored candles
Decorating their altars with faux apples and oranges alike
As well as sapphire and lapis lazuli
As stated in a previous article, most “neo-Pagans'' observe a historically reconstructionist tradition -- that’s the condition of following a postmodern religion. In all of European literature and the oral tradition, never do Modron, Morgan, Epona, Persephone, Pamona, the Muses, Mabon, Thoth, Thor, Hermes and The Green Man set foot in the so-called “Americas.” Yes, it certainly would be historically reconstructionist for people to be praising an old world god in the supposed “new world.”
However, the brain of the modern human is no different than the brain of a human from the last glacial period; and all the stories that seek to explain existence emerged from the same human imagination; and across religions and traditions, there are recurring themes and even recurring imagery; and it would yet be even more revisionist to say that every religion or that every person were the same. We’re not the same, we come in different shades and hues like different autumnal leaves from the same tree.
In the end, it is best to avoid having to do mental gymnastics to attempt to prove without a doubt that your beliefs are the right ones by giving up on knowing truth, because truth is unknowable, and appreciate the many expressions of human spirituality for what they are.
The way the Earth and its seasons are arranged, the Autumn equinox divides the day and night equally.
This is a time to stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from working in our gardens, toiling at our jobs, dealing with family matters or just coping with the hussle-bussle of everyday life.
So if you do not observe “Mabon” per se, it is still an appropriate time to remember to breathe and find comfort in the familiar.
Weave a corn doll, everyone loves corn dolls. Imagine that the corn doll is a manifestation of nature’s generous bounty -- put it in a place of honor.
If you don’t have children to make corn dolls with, bake some bread or a confectionary with
Nuts, Apples, Pomegranates; Possibly Potatoes, Carrots, and/or Onions.
The second harvest is recognized in virtually every culture, so feel free to make it your own and make it meaningful to you. Truth is unknowable except from within. With that being said, darker days are approaching rapidly, so now is the time to wear your best jewelry, splurge in your passions and dazzle in the sun while the weather still permits. The balance of the universe depends on it.
The reason why it is good, at this appropriate time, to engage in debauchery and also do shadow work is because Mabon is also to honor the archetype of the Dark Mother. Besides everything deliciously extravagant about Dark Mother energy, the psychologist Carl Jung is quoted saying, “How can I be substantial if I do not cast a shadow? I must have a dark side also if I am to be whole.”
Carl Jung is responsible for identifying the “shadow” personality, which represents traits in our personality that we repress based on social norms. Shadow work is the process of acknowledging and accepting the hidden parts of your personality as a way to manage our evil ways or antisocial tendencies.
In order to live a balanced life, we have to acknowledge the shadow. You might think you are well-adjusted and righteous, or “whole” and “complete,” and thus you have no need for introspection. But nobody is perfect. This is where Carl Jung’s shadow work is so essential.
It identifies the areas that we are hiding from ourselves. It shines a light of perspective where before there was darkness. It is hard for us to be fully objective when it comes to self-analysis. Particularly when we are talking about our good and dark side.
Certain people may see this as an outdated way of telling time. Yet, today, time is generally understood as the Earth’s rotation around the sun. Plants are much more attuned than humans to the subtle changes in sunlight that take place from one month to the next, so it only makes sense to look to plants (and animals) for time telling.
It wasn’t until humans removed themselves from nature and later started to colonize land that wasn’t theirs, that “time is money” became a phrase to justify exploiting people and the environment -- and this generally stopped people from living in the moment.
The Celtic tradition dictates a thirteen month year with months named after sacred trees. Because the Celts were tribal people, there would be small differences in the nitty gritty of their beliefs.
Many neopagans adhere to a reconstructionist amalgamation of the many traditions of the ancient Celts. This blog post will describe some of the broad uses of the thirteen trees.
Birch
The birch tree correlates to the first month of the Celtic calendar, called Beth.
Beth lasts from Dec 24 to Jan 20. Because the birch tree symbolizes protection and renewal, the Birch Moon reminds us that the new year stretches out like a path before us.
Use a birch broom to sweep away the past.
Use birch oil against evil psychic forces of intolerance.
Make a birch tea for courage, protection and urinary tract health or put a satchel of birch in a crib to protect a baby.
Rowan
Next is Luis which is the prescribed month to hold the Rowan tree holy. It is the time in between Jan 21 and Feb 17.
The month is a time for initiation and dedicating oneself to a personal pursuit. The tree is good for astral travel and personal success.
Rowan is useful for clearing the mind and opening oneself up to inspiration. The deity connected to the month is Brigid, the goddess of fire. Meaning that the essence of the tree and the reason for the season will not be ignored.
Plant rowan seeds in a graveyard to prevent loved ones who have passed from lingering.
The norse were known to make rune shapes with rowan branches for protection.
Ash
The next month is Nion which is dedicated to the ash tree.
It starts on Feb 18 and ends on March 17.
Druid wands and broomstick poles were made of ash because the tree is believed to generally increase magical abilities, especially those having to do with the Sun, which is ideal for healing. For this reason, the ash tree, along with hawthorne and oak are sacred to the druids and fae.
According to norse tradition, the world tree is an ash; the Greek historian Hesiod asserted the first person was born from an ash tree. This became the custom of planting an ash tree at the birth of each baby.
Put a satchel of ash bark under a cradle to stop mischievous fairies from stealing babies.
Plant ash trees to appease the fairies.
Or find mundane objects made of ash are said to hold the same protective properties as ritual objects.
Alder
Happening between March 18 and April 14 is the month of Faern. Alder helps you come to accept unfortunate truths.
You could grill food on alder planks.
Doing so may attract fairies and reduce anxiety.A more traditional use for alder would be using those same planks to fashion a pipe or whistle to manifest strong winds.
Willow
Saille is the month associated with the Willow.
It occurs between April 15 and May 12.
The deities associated with the tree are Persephone, Hecate, Cerridwen,
Artemis and Selene; for this reason, a common folk name for the willow, besides the many others, is the Tree of Witcheries.
The scientific name for the tree is Salix alba and willow is used to make salicylic acid, which is used in skin treatments and to reduce fevers; and thus a folk name for the willow tree is “witch's aspirin.”
Because the tree is known to regenerate from fallen branches that land in mud, it is also known as the tree of immortality.
So this month is a time to work on healing and growth of knowledge; and willow elves are good resources for knowledge on herbal medicine.
A wand made from Willow wood has many uses, sleeping with it to astral project is one.
Soak the bark on water to create a treatment for dandruff.
Or simply eat the stuff in a supplement to treat backaches, migraines, arthritis, menstrual cramps, toothaches and prevent heart attacks.
Hawthorne
Uath, May 13 to June 9 is the month when Celts would ponder fertility, masucline energy and fire. The days following Beltane are a time when male potency is high; making this the ideal breeding season. This energy translates to being well-equipped in matters of business.
As previously mentioned, this tree is one of three that especially attracts fae, and that’s a fact. If you sit under one on May Day, you are at risk of being permanently kidnapped by fairies. The flowers are useful as a sedative, and can also be used externally for skin problems.
Hawthorne berries (often called ”Pixie Pears”) stimulate the heart and reduce blood pressure, and can be used in tandem with other treatments to maintain an erection, menopausal conditions and circulatory disorders. Plus eases diarrhea.
Since it does cleanse the heart, it also manifests forgiveness and love; making it useful in strengthening marriages.
Oak
Duir (the root of the word “Druid”), June 10 to July 7 is the month dedicated to the oak tree.
The Oak is connected with spells for protection and strength, fertility, money and success and good fortune. King Arthur’s round table was made out of a single piece of oak. Carry an acorn in your pocket for luck when you go to an interview or business meeting.
Any piece of the oak tree is lucky. Catching a falling oak leaf before it touches the ground ensures good health. Carrying a satchel of oak will ensure that you are sexually potent.
Externally, oak can be used to treat hemorrhoids, inflamed gums, wounds and eczema. The tannin found in oak can help reduce minor blistering by boiling a piece of the bark in a small amount of water until a strong solution is reached, and applying it to the affected area.
Internally as a tea it helps fight the war against diarrhea.
Magically, the essence will also help you manifest your goals.
Holly
In the month of Tinne, which is between August 5 and September 1, antique Celts would fashion weapons and shields. Why? Because holly wood represents masculine strength and “firmness.”
Even though holly berries are toxic, tradition dictates that the magickal properties thereof are for protection from sickness, lightning and evil spirits. It would also aid in dream magic. Put a sprig under a bed or over a crib for protection while doing dream magic or astral projecting.
Or light a holly candle.
Other people may say that holly is purgative -- and that the powdered leaves could be brewed into a healing tea for measles, the ashes from burning the leaves in a drink soothed whooping cough and hot compresses made from the leaves and bark helped ease the pain of broken bones and dislocations; but I am not comfortable condoning this use.
Hazel
Coll is Hazel month. It is from August 5 to September 1. Coll means "the life force inside you."
Hazelnuts are also associated with wisdom and protection. The month and plant are good to do workings related to wisdom and divination, and especially dream journeys.
To get rid of a cold, drink a solution of warm water, honey and hazelnut powder.
The leaves can be used in teas to treat such ailments as varicose veins, circulatory problems, fevers and excessive menstrual flow.
Vine
Vine month is September 2 to September 29. The Celts called this month Muin.
The wine that comes from vines is a symbol of the passions of happiness and wrath; because of the way grape vines grow, the vine itself is a symbol for regeneration, continuation, opportunity, connection, expansion, fertility, bounty.
Make or better yet buy a grapevine wreath to decorate your home with and attract prosperity.
Put grapes on your altar for the same purpose.
Ivy
Gort is the name of the month dedicated to ivy.
Ivy often lives on after its host plant has died — a reminder to us that life goes on, in the endless cycle of life, death and rebirth.
You can decorate your altar or your bedroom with ivy for healing, protection, cooperation, and to bind lovers. Do workings related to improving yourself, and placing a barricade between you and the things that are toxic to you.
If you are a plant serial killer, artificial ivy would work just as well.
Medicinally ivy was once used for toothaches, as an astringent, and as an aid to bring on menstruation. However, all parts of the ivy plant are now known to be poisonous.
Reed
NGeadal is reed season. It lasts from October 28 to November 23.
The plant is used to make woodwind instruments. It is the plant of Rhiannon, Goddess of the underworld. Wind blowing through the shoots sounds like voices of the dead. The month is good for having a seance.
Use reed with your favorite spell for balance and harmony. Reed is used to make flutes, and a small piece from the reed can be used symbolically to invite sweet harmony into your life. Sing your incantation to it and then place it where you will see it often.
Elder
Finally, Elder is the tree of Ruis. Ruis is from November 25 - December 21
Traditionally all parts of Elder are useful medicinally. The berries and the leaves are both rich in vitamin C.
The leaves can be made into ear drops to treat pain and inflammation.
The flowers make a tea that is good for treating coughs and irritable throats, as well as being made into a skin cleanser and lotion.
I'm not Irish or Wiccan but I am writing this blog post on Lughnasadh. It is the first of three harvest festivals for Anglo-American New Age people, but that may not resonate with your particular tradition or practice.
In every culture, there are reoccurring symbols of prosperity such as grain, corn, rice, potatoes, soy, hemp and so on. These are staple crops that people have physical and spiritual relationships with.
In every culture, there are ceremonies to give thanks to the earth for what bounty it has given us to sustain us. One way to celebrate this energy is by having an end of summer feast and by honoring the survival skills of your people.
Lughnasadh is about reaping the fruits of your own labor. In the olden times, people were share-croppers who had shared land and shared resources. Today we live in very different times -- where people are able to steal the labor of others and society fights to control natural forces.
This year, people are having a hard time surviving and thriving due to factors that are outside their control. People are having to make do with thin crops; and are gaining consciousness about what beliefs no longer serve them.
They are also realizing that darker times are ahead, which coincides with Lughnasadh with Winter steadily approaching and what astrologers have been saying about the future.
Since we are just beginning corona season and might expect to be quarantined in our tiny overpriced apartments for another year, I would like to go over some simple ways to celebrate the first harvest.
Get in the mood by burning incense. Making loose incense or potpourri would be in the spirit of Lughnasadh. Fortunately, there is a wide array of herbs that correspond to Lughnasadh. To make a first harvest-themed scent you may use frankincense, mint, oak, rose, sage and sandalwood.
If you don't want to make your own incense consider Zen Den's frankincense, rose, rosemary or sandalwood incense.
Bake sourdough bread with organic flour. Sourdough is made by creating a symbiotic relationship with bacteria. So bake some bread to celebrate the genius of the natural world. Add rosemary or berries for an extra harvest touch.
Don't have time to grow a yeast culture? Make potato bread instead.
Make a meal with rice, papas, tortillas, frybread, cornbread or biscuits.
Not good at cooking? Buy a ready-cooked chicken with rosemary, potato salad and oatmeal cookies from a local carniceria. Buy elote from the eloteros outside.
Smoke weed or hemp. One of the crops of the first harvest.(Amazon ad https://www.amazon.com/Silver-Color-Design-Skull-Assemble/dp/B08B1TQ2S6/ref=sr_1_45?dchild=1&keywords=cannabis+pipe&qid=1596315648&sr=8-45)
Drink elderberry tea with added CBD.
It wouldn't be a heathen fest without getting hammered -- drink the champagne of the people, beer. Alternatives include amaretto (nuts), elderberry wine, rice wine, tequila (aloe), vodka (potatoes), whiskey (barley, corn, rye, wheat) or vodka (potatoes) to name a few.
Treat the meal like a ritual. Turn the TV off. Eat at the table. Light red, yellow, orange, green or gold candles charged with intent. Decorate the table with sunflowers, roses or heather. Include symbols of Adonis, Demeter, Ishtar, Lugh and Persephone. Work with imagery of skulls. Complete your altar with aventurine, carnelian, citrine, emerald and quartz.
After your feast, give back to the earth by starting a compost bin with earth worms and planting tomatoes.
Afterwards sage the home and take a bath with rose salt, a frankincense bath bomb or light a self-love candle with rosemary. Stay cool during this heat wave and relax with your family. Be well.
]]>In the year 2020, people have put determination in grounding themselves, cleansing themselves and balancing themselves. People are seeking centering and enlightenment in order to be happy. People are trying to force happiness and peace to be present in their lives.
But happiness and peace are illusive things. Often times, the harder we try to find happiness and peace, the more exhausted we become jumping hurdles. Often times, it is easier to solve our problems by taking the path of least resistance.
This Mercury in retrograde, which started in Cancer, forced us to spend time in our minds and to look into the depth of our hearts. What lies in the depths was obscured so we had to devote special attention to peering intently. At certain points, it was overwhelming to be so introspective, at other times, it was addicting.
When Mercury is not in retrograde, being so introspective can be a form of hyperactivity. It is a sign of a restless mind. During the retrograde, not only were we forced into our shells, we were unable to voice our innermost thoughts effectively or our environments were not suitable for communicating these discoveries about ourselves. Many times, when we tried, we were met with insensitivity instead of understanding.
Maybe this faulty communication started or reawakened arguments. Maybe we looked inside and felt uncertainty or regret for the choices we have made or the unhealthy attitudes that we have inflicted on ourselves.
This may be especially true with matters pertaining to the your past, your family, your household and your homeland.
Now, the lines of communication have a chance to be healthy again and now is the time for reconciliation. This does not mean returning to bad habits or giving toxic people yet another chance; but apologizing or accepting an apology is often a necessary step in healing yourself.
To catalyze reconciliation, start with a pink candle. While pink is often used in love spells, it is also for compassion, harmony and emotional and spiritual healing. Carve into the candle your name and the other party's name. Imagine that you are writing in their heart.
Dress the candle with almonds, rue, mullein and yarrow.
Almonds may be a strange tool for you to work with in magick. When you use almonds, you ask benevolent entities to bless your work and call forth purification. Since you are involving higher powers, the implementation of the almonds will nurture self-control which will help in breaking bad habits.
The potential to do evil is in all of us. Though it can be used to throw curses, rue may be used to push evil away as well. It is also known to keep away insects that spread disease. Rue makes hardened hearts soft and inspires grace through an expanded perspective.
With mullein in your intention candle, you won't waste any more of your dreams on nightmares. You will not be preoccupied with the wrong doings of others. Your energy will return to you from wherever it is. It also brings back sanity.
What you are doing could be considered black magick -- in that your are forcing a person to be more peaceable. Yarrow is a plant that empowers witches and black magick. Black magick can be effective in casting away evil and disrupting evil behavior because a house divided cannot stand.
More importantly, it is a ceremonial plant that is held high in a number of cultures. Being associated with Venus, it brings harmony, unity and a deep understanding about the once elusive mysteries of love -- and respect for boundaries.
I've been known to sometimes reconcile and then abruptly disappear. I do this because, as a Sagittarius and thus an argumentative person, I have to remember to put away my ego away in situations like these because it is more important to be at peace than to shout out the winning argument. They might come around or they might not.
People and plants grow in their own time. You can try to speed this process; but when a person is really messed up, it may take a major life event to change their minds. Remember it is irrational to argue with irrational people.
What's most important is being a good person and respecting the god that lives inside you, honoring them. If someone sins against you, I won't moralize against retribution, but I do know that your ancestors already always have your back.
Knowing this, we will be able to remember the past and experience the present without shame or regret. You have been where you needed to be and your are in a place that is right for you now.
When we realize this, we can allocate less energy to healing inner turmoil and more energy toward seeing ourselves reflected in the beauty of the water, earth, sky and each other.
During Mercury in retrograde you can ring a throat chakra bell to aid in communication, carry lapis lazuli or fluorite for extra abilities of discernment or amethyst to rise above the static and faulty ways of thinking. It might prudent to collect these things before the next retrograde which will be in October.
]]>These herbs can be used individually or together. I've chosen this combination because I intend to make a tea for a loved one to promote the healing of a wound, the warding off of infection and the treatment of depression.
When someone is sick, it is usually smart to use all tools available to heal them. Most "hedge witches" use a combination of methods for the best results. This includes a combination of what the medical doctor orders and what the witch doctor orders. A true hedge witch would have enough self-confidence to trust a medical doctor and would be aware of harmful interactions between plants and pills, or respect due diligence and look it up. Do no harm.
The first herb is bay leaves.
Everyone knows about putting bay leaves in food for flavor, so it can often be used in the diet of people who must eat otherwise bland foods. Because bay leaves are sharp and difficult for some to chew, you can put a bay leaf or two in the pot when you make beans or rice and let it infuse as the water boils.
Most know about the protective properties bay leaves contain which are useful in spellwork, these properties are also helpful in healing.
Some know that burning bay leaves promotes psychic powers of prophecy. This is invaluable for an ill person and a healer. With just the right amount of perceptive power, basil could help decrease an ill persons anxiety by making them anticipate how their body will feel as it goes through the healing process. When anxiety leaves, the body will have more energy to put into healing.
When a healer burns or ingests bay leaf, they can connect to their ancestors or to other benevolent energies and use them as guides. It should go without saying that when a healer has more knowledge, they are a better healer.
Bay leaf also makes you sweat so it is good for cleanses and treats mild muscle and joint pain.
Holy basil restores, balances and purifies energy in the body. It could be used in synergy with bay leaves. If someone is bedridden, it will help them maintain joy and levelheadedness. Since it is restorative, it is ideal for healing wounds, bones, joints and memory. Since it promotes energy flow, it is good for respiration, the nervous system, healthy blood, a healthy metabolism and the digestive and excretory system.
Everyone knows and loves lavender. Lavender aids in opening the third eye, more so than bay leaves. Since it does aid in third eye use, it also promotes positive brain activity which is a way to treat stress and depression. Many people who suffer from insomnia, also develop anxiety and depression. Insomnia, anxiety and depression are often comorbid. These three conditions feed off of each other. Luckily, lavender promotes restful sleep. So it is ideal for effectively treating people who are depressed about being ill.
Lavender also promotes general longevity, which makes it like a multivitamin to an herbal healer. It helps persuade unwanted energies to leave the body in a gentle but effective way; it also has some antibacterial properties.
If someone is supposed to rest but feels restless, they will take longer to heal. Valerian, in my opinion, is the best treatment for this. It releases tension deep in the body which allows for clear thinking, serenity when awake and deep sleep. With deep tension being released, negative energies from others and the ego float away. It is a natural sleep aid, so do not use Valerian while operating machinery.
While the previous herbs have been for stress relief, energetic replenishment and spiritual ascent and revelation, St. John's Wort can be used in moderate amounts to guard the doorways of your mind against unwanted phenomena and protects one from physical harm. An unbalanced third eye makes a person moody and pensive, or too judgmental. St. John's Wort keeps your feet on the ground but your head in the clouds, providing support for over-sensitive people while keeping their aura radiant.
St. John's Wort absorbs summer energy, while in normal times it could be used to help treat seasonal depression, it could also be used in these times to help with cabin fever during corona virus season; it is also used for helping to treat unwanted menopausal symptoms, hyperactivity and compulsiveness.
Please be aware that St. John's Wort increases liver activity which speeds up metabolism which makes pharmaceutical drugs less potent, so avoid taking this with other medications.
If you do not want to utter the name of a catholic saint, "hypericum" is the ancient pagan name for the plant.
Though John the Baptist is a "good" entity, not every "good" entity is helpful to you. He will straighten your energy, he will help you break unhealthy or unwise habits; but he will also force you to stay on the straight and narrow and be completely altruistic. He is similar to angels which are "good" but condescending and bossy.
If you do want to invoke St. John the Baptist's healing hand, use his wort with honey and grasshoppers.
Chapulines is a traditional food of indigenous people. Grasshoppers are higher in protein, zinc and calcium than most meats, which makes them a greater source of protein and lesser sources of greenhouse gasses compared to cows.
On top of that, the metaphysical properties of grasshoppers include promoting both luck and pragmatism, safety in travel (even astral travel) and a fulfillment of dreams. Use grasshoppers in your next stew if you are a daring witch.
Please always consult a doctor before using herbs medicinally.
Now onto the philosophy of herbal medicine.
The hedge witch archetype is fundamentally at odds with the bourgeois bastardization of magick that is depicted in Harry Potter. I can defend this claim by saying that hedge witches in media and in real life are resilient, autonomous and subversive, whereas going to a magickal private school (such as Hogwarts) to learn a professionalized version of witchcraft subjects the practice of witchcraft to the process of being hallowed of class consciousness by academia.
The knowledge and wisdom that the Earth offers us is stored in every plant, animal, rock, drop of water and piece of soil. A hedge witch spends time alone in nature to listen for this wisdom, it reveals itself in a quiet voice to a patient ear. The medicine that they derive from this wisdom is like a sacrament of communion with Gaia.
Though no schools such as Hogwarts exist in real life, the history of witchcraft, the history of downtrodden people, history in general is still only seen through the perspective of the ruling elites. With that being so, the most profound mysteries and truths of the universe and the human mind are minimized to myths, lore, fun facts -- and are not given the respect they deserve. In olden times, hedge witches were ostracized to the outskirts of a town, yet they were able to survive by applying their ancient knowledge. This is one reason why they were solitary in the past.
Most people who would call themselves "hedges" do not rely on a group or organization, but rather almost only on familial knowledge and inner guidance. However, just because a person follows a personal religion handed down to them, they are not necessarily a hedge witch.
Tribal people all across the world practice traditional medicine without even considering it witchcraft. Plenty of tribal people have close relationships with the spirits of their ancestors and with the spirits of the Earth without even knowing the term "hedge witch." More than anything, the term "hedge witch" is merely a label for a non-tribal person with ancestral practices to optionally self-identify.
There are other similarities between tribal people and hedge witches, which should persuade spiritual people such as ourselves to perform solidarity for tribal people.
Both rely on a wide array of local flora and fauna in order to practice their beliefs. For both tribal people and hedge witches, the Earth is their apothecary. The Earth provides these medicines for free. That speaks to the communal nature of all things.
The universe intended for these medicines to benefit humankind. To hedge witches and tribal people, it is ridiculous that materials such as weed, cactus, tree bark, frogs, mushrooms and alike should be illegal or stigmatized.
Forbidding people from using natural medicine is an offense to religious freedom and the war on drugs is one of the most violent forms of colonization today, behind ecological and environmental racism.
A notable difference between tribal people and hedge witches, is that the former have occupied their ancestral land for thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years. Over the course of centuries tribal people have been guided by spirits to discover herbal medicines. That is how tribal medicine can be so much more advanced than the practice of many hedge witches; and when hedge witches do occupy land belonging to indigenous people, they must always borrow the ancient knowledge that tribal people has had since time immemorial.
Many spiritual practitioners who live in close proximity to tribal people already hold tribal people in high esteem; and most already know to ask tribal people to share some of the less confidential knowledge about their corner of the Earth. There is value in this because different parts of the world have unique energies, unique entities and unique resources. Not only do you not need exotic supplies to do most magick, its better if you use what you can find in your own backyard, in a local park and in your immediate surroundings -- that will help you connect to the spirits in the land. This does not apply to medicinal herbs that you would apply to your skin or ingest in some way, because they would be bound to have toxins if not sourced correctly; because colonization has poisoned the Earth and continues to ruin many of its once plentiful resources. As the world loses biodiversity, humans lose access to important medicines, many which have not even been discovered yet.
In the end, a witch can be solitary but all people come from tribes. The nature of the universe is fundamentally communal, and the human race would not exist today if it were not for the genuine love that a person has for their people, not for their nuclear family unit, but toward their society as a whole; and this transcends the causes of antagonisms between tribes because the Earth loves us all.
When white people were tribal, they understood the value of helping their neighbor or of helping a stranger and the natural healer was not ostracized, but honored.
To ancient tribal Europeans, it was obvious that the survival of one depends on the strength of the group. White tribal people did not just provide for themselves, did not just hunt for themselves and were not left to nurse themselves back to health if they were ill -- unlike the individualistic society we live in today.
Magick was used in their remedies, therefore magick is communal. And it is possible for white people to decolonize themselves by connecting with their tribal ancestors and connecting back to the Earth. When you connect to the Earth you connect to all her children.
In modern times, a person who takes on the role of hedge witches are a friend to working people who cannot spend money on pharmaceuticals. I say that the history of witchcraft is a history of downtrodden people because magick can be seen as a process of getting something for nothing. It therefore defies the transactional nature of capitalism, the historic hegemony of organized religions such as Christianity and would seek to end ecological catastrophes such as deforestation of the Amazon or dumping harmful chemicals into drinking water or the ocean.
And even in light of these ecological catastrophes, it is wrong to say that humans are the problem or that humans are the virus. Saying this is an expression of ecological fascism. The good green Earth has enough food to feed us, enough land to house us all and enough herbs to heal us; if we would only work to heal our Mother. It is the job of hedge witches (who depend on these foods, lands and herbs) to stand with the Earth by persuading their communities to join in the fight and by using their privilege to take direct action. It benefits the whole world.
Gaia put each of us on her surface with intent; to live in harmony with her. It is by no mistake that the witch monkeys climbed down from the witch trees of the African plains and evolved into people who are able to witness, with strong cognitive abilities, the beauty that Gaia is. It is high time for people to understand that they are of the Earth and the Earth is of them, or face natural disasters that will kill people and destroy ecological diversity. The hedge witch's apothecary and the use thereof is dependent on the survival of tribal people and the survival of their culture and ecosystems.
]]>This moon will not call you to be more mindful, this Buck Moon will force you to be more mindful. There are a number of measures you may want to take in order to avoid the pain the comes with growth while proactively activating the growth. They revolve around building consciousness which requires decluttering.
Unfounded thoughts only lead to pain and personal tragedy. The privilege of denial will be taken away; with consciousness, the hurt can be mitigated. Buy lepidolite for a shift.
Learn to live with less. Live with less static in your communication with yourself and others. Live with less noise. Live with less propaganda.
Be a dreamer who imagines a world with perfect peace, which is achieved through a disciplined kind of self-love. Problems cannot be solved using the same vibrations they were created with.
Your aura and your mind will expand. Be prepared to be shocked or scared, but do not be guided or paralyzed by fear. Be extremely grounded; but also be willing to abandon your old foundation for more solid ground. Hold on to labradorite to stay grounded while gathering enough magic to transform.
Make room for people who are more mindful than you.
These people may include people who are close to the Earth, these people are in a state of constant purification by Gaia.
Defend people who are speaking their truth, the most beautiful truths come from when a rational mind collaborates with an honest heart; so defend people who love innocently, allow these people to purify your heart.
Listen to people who know to depend on others, these people are among those who are most in-tune with their higher selves because they understand the communal nature of all things.
In order to open your heart, promote rapid transformation in your life and your mind and raise your vibration amidst challenges, carry moldavite during these times.
Surpass your ego in order to allow yourself to be challenged and to take full responsibility for who you become. Expand your mind and you'll expand your horizons. Accept pleasure and be optimistic. Release tension in your shoulders but stand tall.
You have full say over the old patterns that you honor that don't make sense to hold onto. You alone have the responsibility to enlighten yourself. If anyone else tries, it is out of generosity.
Often times it is difficult for empathic people to be around less empathetic people.
Indigo children and star seeds may be especially challenging to you, remember it is their job to be jerks in order to challenge people to see the world differently. There is no prophet who is despised except in his city and among his kindred and in his house.
Encourage challenging authority for the mere sake of challenging authority. Change for the sake of change can be a good thing because evolution is the natural sate of the universe. Even if nature is cruel at times, it is ultimately to be kind. To help you align with truth by opening your third eye while maintaining mental clarity, wear lapis lazuli all day.
When you think about others, you are helping yourself. This is evident when you start out praying for yourself and eventually find yourself praying for others. Many graces and spiritual gifts lie in caring deeply about strangers because the god and the goddess are present in all things (including water, stones and air). The sooner we appreciate what the energies around us have to teach us, the sooner we will have more to teach others; which results in healing yourself by healing others.
While regular clear quartz is said to be the master healer, lemurian quartz is the master of crystals. It aids in spiritual awakenings, amplifies prayers, helps you to access higher states of consciousness, connects you to hidden knowledge within and removes energetic blockages from all chakras.
What follows when you shut yourself off from the lessons others have for you is a state of being disconnected from a vast wealth of wisdom which connects all energy and thus all matter.
The greatest arguments come from the heart because the greatest truth is love, it follows that the greatest lie is fear. Ignorance is certain death. In defiance of ignorance, embody life, nature and the divine.
Though systematic problems cannot not be solved with individualized or privatized solutions -- when you change yourself, the world around you changes.
Allow yourself to feel euphoric when bringing white light into material form. Ask angels or fae for help. Raise your vibration so that it resonates with the vibration of the universe. Allow yourself to be incredibly pure while holding selenite.
Your first and last freedom is what you allow in your body.
This includes your physical body, what you're allowed to ingest and whether it is healthy or not.
This includes your mental body, what you allow yourself to think, whether it is constructive or destructive.
This includes your emotional body, what pain you allow yourself to feel and what mistakes you apologize to yourself and forgive yourself for.
Hold rose quartz and be kind to yourself.
If you are an indigo child or a star seed, now is the time for profound ascension. Smudge with lavender and sage to wash away the ignorance of the outside world, Hell is other people for people who try to embody the divine. Sit down with some amethyst and meditate to transcend the programming of the matrix & gain higher understanding.
This may be done through accessing akashic records. A new download may be subtle and show itself through new ideas and mood changes. You might need to especially tune into the guidance of spirits and download new plans for a hopeful future. Be true to yourself by finding bliss in becoming your highest self.
Declutter to clear energy. Ask the goddess to open a passage, whether it be Mary (Untier of knotts), Kali (She who takes away fear and doubt), Hecate (The maiden, mother and crone who illuminated the underworld with a torch in order to find Persephone). Look within and take away what is causing chakra blockages.
Maturing means enlightening yourself through radical transformation. Never reject transformation.
The nature of the universe is evolution. This is evident in the fact that in nature, the agreement living things have made with the universe is "Evolve or die." That is how animals make peace with the chaos that life offers, it should work for humans too.
]]>Those were there all along. It's just that the sun is now illuminating the inner workings of the mechanisms around us and putting all the suffering in full view, which is an indictment of the system as a whole.
The year 2020 is about clear seeing, as we're finding out; maybe at the end, some of us will end up clairvoyant and willing to take on the challenge of toppling systems created by harmful ideologies.
Around us is the realization of harmful ideologies, which I think of as the social contract.
We have to agree to comply with repressive and oppressive social, political and economic norms, from the minute we wake up to the minute we go to sleep, and we subconsciously enforce them on ourselves in our dreams; and by absorbing chauvinistic media without a critical eye; it is in our language and the thoughts we tell only ourselves and so on and so forth.
As humans, we probably cannot detach ourselves from the human experience (at least for very long), but what we can do is look within, recognize the parts of ourselves that need changing, take time to understand the steps that must be taken, and have the resilience and (dare I say) bravery to follow through.
If bad ideologies are like a virus, spiritual medicine is the treatment. You probably have a personal way of healing your soul; but if you are new to spirituality, or if you are simple enough -- put on a mask and take a run or be blissfully still, shout and scream until your anger transcends language or be quiet and listen for [SOMETHING GREATER] to whisper in your heart. If you can't decide, try it all -- sometimes duality aids in self-transformation.
Step out of your comfort zone, safely, pragmatically. You might discover a new love.
Not unlike corona, if you think you're sick, stay away. Be smart about how you treat yourself; be compassionate for yourself; but do consider others.
Knowing that energy does spread, if you have bad vibes, stay at home and work through them. Hold a stone. Stones traditionally associated with the Summer Solstice are:
But don't be afraid to take the advice of a professional who knows more than you. Realize for yourself that you do not have to take on a widespread illness or heal a systematic problem without support, and it is not heroic to try.
Appreciate the communal nature of all things. However, you should take personal responsibility for what you create and what you control.
While "self-love" is a popular term, I don't love it.
My heart chakra and third eye respond better to me being "real with myself." Don't get it twisted, self-doubt may cripple some, but I find that I am comfortable having an open mind about myself and I encourage my friends to take constructive criticism, and offer me insight if they suspect that I am wrong about something.
Of course I do love myself, but to me that isn't an enlightened state, that should be everyone's default; and that universal default state should be afforded to all, and that requires other baseline needs for all to be fulfilled. I would appreciate my happiness most if everyone else were allowed to live their dreams.
As a measure of self-love, take a bath with nice salts and baking soda to heal your energy; glide a rose quartz roller across your skin; adjust your chakras; drink chamomile tea. Stop and smell the lavender, rosemary and honeysuckle.
Even though you are one human out of roughly 7.594 billion, you have a blue print designed by [SOMETHING GREATER] and if you follow it, by continuing to evolve and encouraging those in your circle to evolve, you could be a shining specimen of humankind to whatever entities are watching. And that's what your ego really wants anyway, isn't it?
And even if you are feeling like a victim or taking on the strain of others or are hurting in some way, this Summer Solstice will help you release your tension and fight for your dreams to be made real in a hopeful future.
Burn sage or palo santo and allow yourself to feel calmer than you've ever felt. Light a white candle. Be at peace.
Tap into higher levels of magic. Partake in a co-creative relationship with [SOMETHING GREATER] by following the direction the universe is pointing you in and becoming the person both you and the universe want you to be. Dream about the world you want to create. The next day, wake up ready to fight for it.
Be proactive about fixing your relationships, take responsibility by getting to know your anger, dealing with your anger, releasing your anger, say you are sorry or finally accept an apology; and go into the future clear sighted and prepared to achieve your goals, which means being prepared to learn your truth and fight for it.
