The Viking shield is an emblem of protection and power, used by the Viking warriors to defend in battle, these shields were known to be highly maneuverable. The shields usually bore bright color upon them and each color was symbolic to a specific meaning. Green for hope, white for neutrality, purity and life, red for strength and courage, sometimes hostility and black for death.
